The Power of the Present Moment

Abundance has happened. It’s here, provided for, waiting to be received. It’s not something we have to wish for in the future, always moving a step out of our reach. It’s here for us to accept, in this powerful Now moment – the only moment that exists. The thing is, most people are so lost in the fog of their own thinking that they can’t see what’s right in front of them.

Manifesting Abundance

The word manifest means to reveal or make visible – it doesn’t mean create or make it happen. There’s nothing to do because it’s already done. Abundance is not only about money – it’s about having good health, relationships, right ideas, solutions and a good lifestyle; it’s about the feeling of freedom and having a confidence about who you are and about Life itself.

Searching For Answers

People spend so much time searching for answers, hoping that the latest self help teaching will give them the secret they are looking for. It can be overwhelming. I spent years reading books and studying, trying to change my thoughts and be positive and hopefully create my ideal life, so I totally understand. Not only did my life not improve but I didn’t feel good.

Of course there are great teachings out there – teachings from all across the world that have been on the planet for centuries and have likeminded ideas at their centre. But still – I was finding it difficult to apply them in everyday life. Through research and study groups that I used to facilitate – I discovered a practical approach that made it all easier. I’m not trying to say I know it all (I’m still a student, like we all are) – but what I do know is my teachings have helped people from all walks of life find success and receive abundance. I’ve taught over 800 groups and workshops so far and last year I shared what I know in a book, Feel Better, No Matter What.

Letting Go and Surrender

As we live our lives, we evolve. We go into thoughts and challenges and, like weights at the gym, this resistance evolves us. Our main job then is to let go and surrender so we can receive the gains from what all of this living life has created. The ego mind – that part of us that is just an accumulation of false and fearful thoughts and beliefs – doesn’t want to let go and surrender as it doesn’t believe that there is anything greater than itself to surrender to. From this lower-self mind perspective, there’s no awareness that there’s anything other than us and our small personality. This is why most people spend most of their time either desperately thinking of ways to accomplish, be better or be somewhere else – or worrying about the past or future – because they feel they are alone and have to do it all themselves.

Getting Out of Our Own Way

Trying to think our way there and figure everything out with the mind is hard work, and rarely leads to success. Instead, we want to first take time to do those practices to clear our mind – to get the mind chatter out of the way. This process is like letting a snow globe settle and revealing that central scene that’s already there, behind the snowstorm. As we let our thoughts settle and we clear our mind through, for example, sit down meditation, writing lists of gratitude and/or being a bit kinder to ourselves – the insights, ideas and solutions we were looking for – which were hidden behind the fog of our thinking – come into focus.
